Start with the basics of using TinkerCad and the design considerations for 3D printing, through to printing your own 3D design.
Starting from the position of someone who has never designed anything before, this will go through the basics of how to use TinkerCad to create your first 3D model that we can then print.
It will cover:
- Basic concepts of creating a 3D model
- The way to control TinkerCad
- Some simple "hacks" to easily achieve complex things in 3D
- Considerations when designing for 3D printing
- Creating your first 3D design
To attend the session you'll need a laptop to access TinkerCad, an account setup with TinkerCad, and ideally some kind of image editing software that you're familar with.
Each participant can submit a small 3D model for printing that will be printed during the rest of camp. So ideally this session will run near the start to give time for the prints to complete.
